New network, new era

The Victorian Government Library Network has shifted to a shared services model. Previously site bound and separate, department libraries are now united under the same virtual roof. Our work with senior and site leaders has stressed the importance of psychological and cultural change alongside the structural. Don’t waste a transition, we’ve stressed, make it count by trying new things and thinking in new ways.
Our work has involved:

• creative problem solving with library leaders
• transition workshops with team leaders
• whole staff workshops
• decision-making and culture mapping sessions with managers and team leaders
• tele-workshops
